Michigan House, sited on a gentle open meadow sloping to a lake. Its idea this getaway house is designed for an extended family whose connections to the site span several generations. Entry begins on a boardwalk passing between a pair of garages, crosses the meadow, then goes through the house to become an extended bridge projecting toward the lake. Above an open first floor plan dedicated to communal life — kitchen, dining and living — a second floor of bedroom suites can sleep an entire family reunion.
